Twilight

Just one day, the same again
My story begins and ends without change
Living in small rooms, no windows to banish the gloom
And only one view
One avenue to pursue

Outside, I sigh, for with no sun in the sky
My day will not shine, will fade away.
Dayless night and nightless day.
Stay with me for a span, so life my change

And never again will I live in hope , like rain
And be drenched like this, down to my hollow bones
For a heart which once danced now refuses to beat

And not one word I can say can stop this pain
no healing refrain, if compassion is water
then it is in a desert I lay

A drier air I breath

But strange, is it not, that here I stay?

Amidst ceaseless voices
and thoughtless minds

And this graveyard of memories, left behind.
